Rajasthan state reported an 18% increase in Covid cases on Wednesday. Of the 59 new cases that were reported in the state, 46 were from Jaipur city. Number of active cases in the state were 242 on Wednesday , reported Dainik bhaskar.
Number of cases reported were two in Ajmer, three in Alwar, Four in Nagaur, one each in- Bikaner, Dhoulpur, Sawai Madhopur and Udaipur.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday tweeted the COVID protocols will be in place since the number of cases are increasing. “ COVID cases are increasing in countries like Britain, Germany and China. Cases have been increasing in several parts of India too,” said Gehlot. “The increase in COVID cases should be taken as an alert and we all should start to follow COVID protocols,” he added.
In a video conference on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that permission for vaccinating children of age 6 to 12 has been granted. He urged the people to not panic and the work for upgrading the health infrastructure should keep going.
