Concerned over low polling in the first two phases of Lok Sabha Elections, Bhopal’s distict collector announced three lucky draws in Bhopal constituency on Voting day.
The winners of the draw stand a chance of winning a diamond ring.
Other goodies for the winners include refrigerators, televisions etc. We are collectiong these gifts and prizes under CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility),” said Kaushelendia Vikram Singh, collector and Distict Election Officer, TOI reported.
“On polling day, a BLO/Booth Level Officer and a volenteer will be deployed at each booth (for the lottery).
“Every booth will have a coupon booklet and the duo will ensure that votees write their names & mobile number and collect a coupon after they get inked. We will contact the votees and give them their gifts after each draw”, Singh further addes, Reported TOI.
As per the official, so far they have recieved 35 items, including Refrigerator, 8 Dinner Sets and 2 Mobile Phones. As per the news reported by TOI, the officials are also aiming to get Two Wheelers which they can then give away as a gift. Administration took the step looking forward to the third phase of polling on May 7.
