Jaipur: More than 2.39 lakh frontline workers will be inoculated in the second phase of corona vaccination in the state, said Rajasthan health department officials on February 2.
According to the officials, the department has made all preparations for this and the second phase will begin in the first week of this month.
Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma said that in the second phase, all military forces including Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will be vaccinated. Apart from these, officials from the revenue department, local bodies, panchayat raj department and police personnel will also be vaccinated, he added.
The Health Minister said that till now 22,520 officials from the revenue department, 55,362 people from local bodies and 1.61 lakh persons from the police and military forces have been registered in Covin software.
A total of 2.39 lakh people will be vaccinated in the second phase.
Sharma said that those who have not been vaccinated in the first phase, they will also be able to get vaccinated in this phase. He informed that so far 3.30 lakh health personnel have been vaccinated in the first phase.
The Health Minister informed that all preparations for the second phase of vaccination have been completed across the state. There is a lot of enthusiasm in the general public about the vaccine.
He informed that so far 2.62 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine and 1.77 lakh doses of Covaxin have been allotted in the state.
